01 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, you must have permission from your legal guardian. We may request reasonable age confirmation and may restrict or delete accounts that do not qualify.

02 Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You may not sell or transfer your account, impersonate another person, or share an account in a way that creates a safety risk. Tell us if you discover unauthorized use.

03 Public and private chat

• Public rooms and their content may be discoverable and visible to other users.
• Private rooms are intended for invited or authorized participants, but we do not guarantee absolute confidentiality or end-to-end encryption.
• Content may be processed or accessed as reasonably necessary to deliver and maintain the service, review reports, prevent abuse, protect security, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.
• Participants may submit messages when making a report. Except for reporting or complying with law, do not publish another person's private messages without permission.

04 Acceptable conduct

You may not engage in or post content involving:

• Harassment, threats, stalking, hate, or discrimination
• Unwanted sexual content, sexual harassment, or sexual exploitation
• Exploitation of minors, illegal sexual material, or conduct that endangers minors
• Doxxing, impersonation, fraud, scams, phishing, or deception
• Malware, spam, disruption of the service, or circumvention of security
• Infringement of intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
• Illegal activity, promotion of serious harm, or evasion of enforcement

05 User content

You retain ownership of content you post. You grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license limited to what is necessary to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display your content while operating BanmalZone.

For private content, this permission is limited to storage, delivery to participants, security, and enforcement of these Terms. You confirm that you have the right to post your content. After deletion, copies may remain for a reasonable period in backups or where needed for security, disputes, legal obligations, or investigation of prior conduct.

06 Moderation and enforcement

We may investigate reports or suspected violations and may remove content, restrict features or rooms, suspend accounts, or terminate access. We may consider context, severity, history, and safety risk. We do not guarantee that every violation will be detected or removed immediately.

07 Privacy

Our separate Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, retained, and how users may exercise their rights. Do not use the service if you cannot agree to that policy.

08 Service availability

We may add, change, or discontinue features and may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance. We make reasonable efforts to provide a reliable service, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

09 User interactions

BanmalZone does not verify or endorse a user's statements, identity, or advice. Use caution with personal information, money, in-person meetings, and important decisions. Users are responsible for their interactions with one another.

10 Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available. Liability may be limited for indirect or unforeseeable loss caused by another user's conduct, service interruption, unauthorized access despite reasonable safeguards, or reliance on user content or advice.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.

11 Ending use or an account

You may stop using the service and request account deletion through the available process. We may restrict or end access for violations or safety and legal risks. Provisions concerning disputes, legal duties, and conduct before termination survive where reasonably necessary.

12 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, rules, or law. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes through the service or another reasonable method. Where permitted by law, continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

13 Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live are not excluded. We will first try to resolve disputes in good faith; unresolved disputes will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
